Ms. Hart, interviewed for our film in January 2006, was a singer, actress and spokeswoman for the arts. Her career spanned film, theatre, and television, from A Night at the Opera with the Marx Brothers to the game show To Tell the Truth. For 20 years she chaired the New York State Council on the Arts. She continued performing up until her death on April 17, 2007, at 96.
